First Visit Post COVID

I finally was able to cross the border this past fall and came up for the month of September.

A lot has happened up there in the meantime. Over 50 lots have changed hands. Prices have soared. New owners have started building, others have clear cut lots, much to my horror and in violation of the restrictive covenants, and left the muddy mess to rot and erode.

I fear for the future of our little quiet community. I expect it won’t be much longer until it becomes part of suburban sprawl. I thought we’d have a decade or more before it overcame us…but a worldwide pandemic was not envisioned, nor its impact on population movement and growth.

Counting my blessings

Nevertheless, here are some photos of the peace and beauty we still live amongst.
