It appears that we, the residents and owners of Abbecombec Ocean Village, are in imminent threat of losing a significant piece of our common lands in the center of the wetlands at Clam Bay.

The Fate of the Green Building

is Now Officially Unknown

Update March 14, 2020

I still intend to pursue this issue. I am NOT going to give up. Neither Ralph Bayer or anyone else should be able to obtain any piece of our common lands. Ever. I hope the rest of the owners agree and will join me as a group to formally take legal action if necessary.

For now, I ask you indicate your agreement with my Demand Letter and Settlement Offer (in letter and below) by submitting the below form. (there’s another one at the bottom after you read the background article from October. All the legal documents and opinions are also linked below.)

Looking for an Angel

I’ve concluded that the only way to ensure that Abbecombec is managed properly and developed responsibly and that the common lands, the marshes and beaches, and the natural beauty those provide that makes it such a special place are preserved for the future is to buy it, or better yet find someone to buy it who has the means and desire to do so.

Thus I need an ‘angel,’ an investor not interested in making gobs of money, but instead committed to owning and preserving this special place as a legacy for future generations to enjoy. There is a good chance of making a good chunk of any investment back in time, and even turning a profit, but the main goal you must have is to make this place the best it can be, and ensure its preservation for the future. Before & After

Last summer’s ‘work’ at the point was disappointing to say the least. My complaints and requests for explanation of why this was done and why the cut brush was not cleaned up had gone unanswered and unaddressed for months. When a reply was finally obtained it was unsatisfactory to say the least. It was claimed that no one else had complained and therefore they were fine with the outcome and the matter was considered closed.

I am livid. Not just because of the unneeded and permanent destruction of a beautiful and treasured resource but because of the initial stonewalling and finally their refusal to take responsibility or admit this is a tragic mess or even  finish cleaning it up. Since they deemed it not a problem, they refused addressing how to avoid this again in the future by communicating with a designated owner’s rep beforehand as had been agreed.
